I was watching TV and I came across Soul Train the longest running program ever from October 1971 to March 2006. I was watching it and I was like wow look at what they wore, look at the way they danced I couldn’t help but be amazed at how they were enjoying themselves.  The guys weren’t afraid to dance with their women, there wasn’t a weave in site (not that I have anything against weaves) just straight up Afro’s.
