MISI Entertainment catches up with Yung Joc in a Exclusive Interview, from Yung Joc having his own record label to his upcoming album. Yung Joc gets up close and personal with our guest host Dahiana Torres

Interview

MISI: Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening listeners this is Dahiana Torres with MIS Entertainment on an Exclusive Interview with the talented Yung Joc; Yung Joc how you doing today?

Yung Joc: I’m good baby how you?

MISI: I’m doing good I’m doing good Thank You for taking the time to interview with us its definitely a pleasure to have you hear. Now you have a song called

Yung Joc: Thank you Thank you

MISI: (Oh) you welcome you welcome you have a song called “Yeah Boy” which is a hot track what was your mind set when you was creating that song?

Yung Joc: (uh) it was just it was you know what man to be honest with you this is one of them records where I just wanted something a little bit you know what I’m saying outside of just trying to make a club song or its more of a record you can just grind to and just feel what the hell I’m talking about and whats on my mind.

MISI: OK all right now lets talk about your song “Know What She Likes” featuring Yo Gotti which is featured on the Audio Invasion Mixtape the track is without a doubt a banger. How did you decide to do a feature with Yo Gotti and come up with this whole concept?

Yung Joc: Well it’s a crazy story behind that (uh) I actually (um) did the record and (uh) it was just dude played me the beat Don Vito its called Diesel digitally and he played the track for me and he went passed it and I said go back to it I was listening to it I was like you know what that right there sound hypnotic it sound like it would put you in a trip dance for a minute. So I said you know a record like that is usually good with women, you know what I’m saying good for women. So I was like I should make it I said I should make it a R&B record then Don was like nah man this too hard  it sound like some it sound like a hood track and I was like yeah its gonna be a hood track for the females though. I went in the booth and just started just off the top of my head came up with the hook and (uh) I did the first verse to it and once I did the first verse I was like you know what I’m a put Gucci on it so I had went and got Gucci to do it but Gucci the way he snapped on it sounded the verse he did for the other record I have called going ham so I ended up taking the record and giving it to Yo Gotti asking him to get on it which he did and I took Gucci record and put it on the go ham record so now I got two records that I like you know what I mean there it is.

MISI: Definitely congratulations (um) to that song and you already have shown the game your versatility with the first three albums New Joc City, Hustlenomics, Grind Flu what can we expect from you on your upcoming album Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood?

Yung Joc: (uh) lets just say I grew up some man real talk I grew up some I lived cause I’ve learned a little more you know what I mean and just as an artist I feel like I’ve grown so when you hear some of the music it will make you feel good some of the music will make you feel that same thing I was feeling when I wrote it. (uh) you know the inspirational records you know you’ll definitely be inspired you know I feel like its gonna be songs on there for (uh) quite a few I can’t say for everybody. I just; That’s kind of where I went wrong at trying to please everybody and I said you know what  I’m not gonna try to please nobody I’m just gonna do me feel good whatever come from my heart and so that’s what I just started doing I feel like its gonna work for me.

MISI: Right and with that said I can see that you have grown not only as an artist but as an entrepreneur with a new label under your belt Swagg Team Entertainment how did all that get started what do you look for in an artist?

Yung Joc: I’m going to be honest with you (uh) I just look for anybody who’s a natural at what they do you know what I mean a natural at what they do that’s basically what you know what I’m saying that’s all its about being able to convey how you feel emotionally through your music you know what I mean and if you can do it naturally then more people can relate and accept it for what it is you know.

MISI: Yes yes definitely so what are some of the challenges you have encountered on your journey to success? How have yo been able to overcome some of those obstacles?

Yung Joc: I mean you know that was one of the reasons Swagg Team Entertainment came about (uh) cause I felt like there was some things that I was (uh) jigged into that I felt like were good and there was times where I felt like were (uh) not necessary but I cant say that because the good and the bad both together that’s how you learn you know what I’m saying experience gone be the best teacher with anything so I decided you know I want to put it to the test cause you know we always think we have the best other solution for some of the things that we go through in life you know what I mean ad you don’t really know it until you actually put yourself to the test and I’m a firm believer in growing ones self worth with your own brand thats what made me start Swagg Team Entertainment there it is.

MISI: I’m sure that means a lot to the viewers (uh) what inspired you to become an artist? So who are your musical influences?

Yung Joc: I’ve always like to entertain I’m on some silly stuff and I feel like just making a room full of people laugh I do it so naturally it’s second nature you know what I mean.

MISI: uh hmm now what artist

Yung Joc: When it’s

MISI: Go head go head no go head

Yung Joc: I was just gonna say that when like (uh) whenever I’m doing music I try to figure out the best way to relate to people sometimes you know what I’m saying sometimes it work sometimes it don’t you know what I mean.

MISI: Uh Hmm so as an artist who would you like to work with in the future that you have worked with previously of course? You have any artist particularly in mind that you haven’t worked with?

Yung Joc: (uh) like I said Drake I would like to do something with (uh) Usher definitely

MISI: Oh yeah

Yung Joc: I would like to do something with Usher (uh) and Mary J. Blige.

MISI: All very very great artist I hope they can definitely work with you one day (uh) it would definitely be an honor to hear you guys on a track. Now if I were to turn on your Ipod right now what three artist would I see in your most recently played list, is it one of the ones you just mentioned ?

Yung Joc: (uh) you definitely gonna find some Mary you’ll find some Mary because sometimes I have to step away from just rap and I have to listen to something that can give me the same feeling and passion without it just being rap you know what I’m saying you gonna find some Mary; you gonna find some Ross you might find some (uh) old school Outkast, Hit em’ up you might find Lol you might find some old school Snoop you know what I mean. I mean don’t get me wrong when I mean old school it’s just certain classic records that I love by these artist that I’m naming you know what I mean. You definitely gonna find the Swagg Team enough from To Green, DoeShun, and Jon Boi you know what I’m saying it is what it is man like you know for me you might find anything sometime like when I’m riding I don’t even listen to music in the car sometimes cause I’m always trying to you know like when I get in the car thats the only time I really have to think to myself everything else I’m around music if I ain’t in front of a camera I’m on a stage, if I ain’t on a stage I’m in a studio in front of a mic so you know what I mean I don’t even get the chance to listen to music outside of lord music.

MISI: Definitely ok so you listen to Mary a lot so with that said now its time to ask this question for the ladies out there what type of female catches your eye Yung Joc?

Yung Joc: (um) You know I like an intelligent women I like women who are compassionate about life I like women who know how to take care of a man you know what I’m saying when I say take care of a man I don’t mean in a chauvinistic way like you know just cut and clean I just you know a women who understands how important and understand how freedom even in a relationship means you know what I’m saying Like I’m the type of dude if a women gotta try to go through my phone and stuff like that and be on your Facebook page and all that trying to find out about a women I aint with that cause you see she just not confident enough for me I  want a women thats knows thats what make a man come home when his women know everything good and she treat it like that even if it aint she gottta make you feel that way because as a man we gotta do it you know what I’m saying if we live together right and I’m the man and I gotta take care the bills I cant let you  worry can I?

MISI: ooh ok

Yung Joc: As a man I should make yo  feel secure in our situation that everything gonna be all right and as a women she has to do the same thing so you know  I don’t like a timid women and I don’t like a women that doesn’t fully know how to express her self that will sum it up for you.

MISI: Well you heard that ladies you know you  gotta be confident for Yung Joc and you gotta know what you want so if you weren’t in the music industry rapping what other field you would most likely be pursuing?

Yung Joc: (uh) I probable been an attorney

MISI: Where?

Yung Joc: An attorney

MISI: an Attorney ok, So what do you think (uh) the biggest difference between rappers trying to make it in the industry versus rappers trying to make it today?

Yung Joc: (uh) I think today is (uh) I think today it’s a lot easier to make it to be honest with you.

MISI: and why do you say that?

Yung Joc: Because you have more outlets to be seen now its not just about (uh) if you got a hit record it’s about you know being relative I mean lets be straight up. 50 Tyson aint, 50 Tyson is not jamming lets keep it one hundred but he successful in my book see what I’m saying he successful in my book I’m saying I mean I couldn’t listen to some of his music I love his ambition, I love the fact he is able to do what he does you know what I’m saying thats inspiring like hell to me, but am I gonna listen to it after I listen to it one time and see what he talking about pop it back in and jam it I don’t know I haven’t listen to enough of his music to feel like I’m  but he’s relevant to the point that he’s remained good in a viral sense but he’s you know he’s on your mind that’s successful to me if he came from nothing and he going out and he aint getting but two thousand dollars three thousand dollars a show hey thats great how many people you know just gonna get three four thousand dollars for people to gather around and hear what they got to say you feel me?

MISI: Exactly yup yeah so

Yung Joc: So many of the media is at your disposal, so many of the media is at your disposal right now  because the internet I mean come on man

MISI: Yes I mean with Twitter, with Myspace, with Facebook I’m sorry Myspace is kind of a dead end right now but theres so many different networks

Yung Joc: You know what not really not really I know what not really man this is whats real about it not really you’ll be surprised man some people will still resort back to your Myspace for information on you you’ll be surprised man cause when I’m out the country you know I tour out the country a lot I mean like a lot and people always ask me first whats your Myspace page then they be like whats your Twitter and your Facebook I mean its still its still a tool you kno what I’m saying and a lot of people did invest in jobs in setting them up and you know it may be easier to other fans on Twitter and Facebook but I mean I don’t think you know I aint I’m not gonna ask you right off rim whats your Myspace but if I’m trying to find out some info on you I’ll go back and look for your Myspace and see whats going on out there  see how many fans you had you know what I’m saying see what kind of stuff you was doing what you keep posting up lately recently or not I would still just go back and see

MISI: and your right because a lot of artist have been discovered on Myspace and I mean especially YouTube thats one of the biggest tools out there right now (um) so lastly I guess my question to you is are there any shout outs you wanna throw out there from MISI Entertainment right now

Yung Joc: Besides who

MISI: I know I mean are there any shout outs you want to throw out there

Yung Joc: (uh) I mean man big shout out to everybody out there trying to do it man big shout outs to my loyal fans big shout outs to the people who was my fans and aint quite sure I’m popping no more big shout outs to the haters to man because I need them you know what I’m saying the more ya’ll hate the more the ones that love me love me you dig and you know big shout outs to all the upcoming artist thats out there trying to do what they doing I’ll tell you straight up put your best foot forward man put God first man let him work your plan and everything else is irrelevant there it is.

MISI: You heard ladies and gentlemen Yung Joc on MISI Entertainment I thank you for your time you have yourself a great and productive day and (ah) Thank You

Yung Joc: Your welcome Thank you as well

MISI: Take care bye

NEW MUSIC: Yung Joc Ft.Yo Gotti & Stuey Rock – What She Like

NEW MUSIC: Yung Joc – Yeah Boy

Professional Bio

Platinum-selling and award-winning rapper Yung Joc has inked a recording deal through his own imprint, Swagg Team Entertainment with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group and a production deal with Battery/Jive Records for emerging acts through Swagg Team Entertainment.

“It is my pleasure and honor to announce my affiliation and new partnership with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group and Battery/Jive Records,” states Yung Joc. “Now I can actually work and not wonder if I’m going to be held back from building my own brand as well as the Swagg Team brand. I’m very excited to work with this team.” As an artist signed to Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group, Yung Joc is currently working on his new album tentatively titled Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, slated for a late 2011 release. One of the most sought after rappers for cameo appearances, Yung Joc has been featured on T-Pain’s “Buy U A Drink,” David Banner’s “Get Like Me” which also featured Chris Brown, Bobby Valentino’s “Beep” and Slim’s “So Fly.” Proving his ability for finding talent, Yung Joc brought two high profile singles to Jive Records last year via his Swagg Team Entertainment label – the mega summer 2009 online, radio and video smash hit “Stanky Legg” by GS Boyz, and the hugely popular single “Lookin’ Boy” by Hotstylz. With his new production deal in place, Yung Joc will continue to seek talent to cultivate under the Swagg Team Entertainment umbrella which consists of a recording studio and a fully staffed radio, marketing, A&R and video production departments.

“Joc is a triple threat. As an artist, executive and personality, he is now entering a higher phase of his career and I’m happy to play a part in it,” affirms Bryan Leach, President, Polo Grounds Music.  “I feel with Pitbull, Yo Gotti and now Yung Joc, Polo Grounds has an amazing front line of smart, talented, hungry artists that will continue to show why it’s still all about making hit records and outworking everyone else.” Tom Corson, EVP, General Manager, RCA Music Group cites “The signing of Yung Joc as both an executive and entertainer is a testament to the great talent that he possesses.  His addition to the Polo Grounds Music roster will further establish the label’s strong foothold in urban music.” Yung Joc’s 2006 debut album New Joc City entered at #1 on both the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Albums and Top Rap Albums charts and #3 on the Billboard 200 chart.  New Joc City featured the multi-platinum selling, #1 Billboard Hot Rap Track “It’s Going Down,” which won a BET Award for Hip-Hop Track of the Year and garnered several nominations including the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards (Best Rap Video) and more.  Joc’s second single “I Know U See It” peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Track chart.  Yung Joc’s follow up album, 2007’s Hustlenomic duplicated his 2006 chart-topping entries and featured the hit singles “Coffee Shop” and “Bottle Poppin’.” In August 2009, Joc released Grind Flu, a free mixtape that featured Gucci Mane, Chris Brown, Bobby V, Nikki Minaj, Slim, Shawty Lo & DJ Khaled. Polo Grounds Music is a full service entertainment & marketing company with a focus on publishing, management, and brand marketing. Founded in 2006 by Bryan Leach, the New York based company is home to record label Polo Grounds Music, which is distributed through RCA Records. Artists on the roster include Pitbull, Yung Joc, Hurricane Chris, Yo Gotti and NiNa Sky.

MISI Entertainment Interviews The Real “Freeeway” Rick Ross Part 1

Patrick Bastien Photography

Nevora: I’m Nevora, this is a Nevora exclusive for MISI Entertainment I am preparing to go speak with Freeway Rick Ross and I am in the Embassy Suites in New York so follow me as we conduct our interview Thank You. This hotel is very beautiful; fourteenth floor the view look at the view real quick isn’t that one  view this is New york you guys this is New York city of dreams.

Freeway: Hi how are you ?

Nevora: Hey I’m well I’m Nevora nice to meet you.

Part 1

Nevora: Hi everyone welcome world my name is Nevora this a Nevora exclusive for MISI Entertainment.

We are here today with Mr. Freeway Ricky Ross and he is going to be telling you all the wonderful things he has coming up a part of Freeway Enterprises, his book and he has a reality show that’s coming out relatively soon, and a movie.

Nevora: Can you tell me a little bit more about what your doing with the youth right now ?

Freeway: Well Basically what I want the youth to become is what I call critical thinkers and what I mean by critical thinker is you see I wasn’t a critical thinker in my early age; I couldn’t take information and decipher it and figure out what was suppose to take place; say for instance when I started selling drugs I never looked at the long term goal, I never looked at the fact that this can put me in prison for the rest of my life, or it can get me killed. (you know) I didn’t learn those things until after I was already involved and I was basically hooked because I believe that you can become hooked on the game of selling drugs. So what I want to do with the kids is teach them to become critical thinkers, what I’m saying by that is that I believe that if our children become critical thinkers then we can set Cocaine, Heroin, PCP, Guns everything right in front of them but they have enough intelligence to walk by it and say you know what that ain’t for me. Take for instance why we don’t drink gasoline (you know) and other poisons because they know that this is not good for them and they can think for themselves and realize that.

Nevora: Ricky you are such a phenomenal entrepreneur can you tell us a little bit more about the Freeway Foundation I know its a non for profit but I am sure there are a lot of viewers who are wondering what process would they have to go about to be a part of this foundation or what is the foundation how is it moving ?

Freeway: Well the first thing to the people that want to help me the first thing they can do it wont cost you no money is join FreewayEnterprise.com you’ll sign up (uh) I need to get my membership up (uh) once that happens then you are helping me and then I will be able to give you more information on a daily basis on what we’re trying to do and which direction we are going in.

Nevora: Ok and what steps has this foundation taken so far ?

Freeway: Well were doing all kind of things we put on like little benefits; (uh) one of our guys gave out toys this Christmas, (uh) food, we did (huh) a drive where we fed the homeless. I mean we doing all kind of things but the most important thing that I want to do is feed the mind because I believe that once you feed the mind everything else is taken care of. I don’t know if you ever heard of an old pearl goes you can teach a man how to fish or you can give him a fish but if you teach him how to fish he can feed himself for the rest of his life and so that’s what I believe we need to do with our children teach them how to fish and they will take care of themselves.

Nevora: Are these some of the morals that we’ll find in your book and what was the title of that book can you remind us ?

Freeway: (huh) I’m playing around with something like “Ross” you know (uh) we really haven’t named it yet but that’s what I’m playing with. Basically what they going to find in my book is going to be it’s going to show you how a guy who started off wanting to do good things in life but got side tracked you know made a bad turn and started doing negative things and not just because himself but other people had so much of an influence on him and his decision making he really didn’t make his own decisions his decisions was made by a group of people which was the community and that’s pretty much how the book is going to start cause you know I gotta do a second book to (Lol).

Nevora: of course of course

Freeway: because that was just about the drug business and how I got into the drug business and how I got in my own words turned out because I believe that even when I sold drugs I was turned out. I don’t believe that I was the man like I felt I was you know in the end you know it all turned out to be for nothing. Even with the government being involved allowing these guys to bring drugs into our community to incarcerate the young Black American so I fell into that trap.

Nevora: Oh so you definitely turning your tragedy more so into a triumph today.

Freeway: Yeah but yeah and you know that can happen; you know they said the beginning of the day starts at the darkest of nights so when I went through my darkest time which was while I was in prison with a life sentence you know I had the life sentencing when you life sentenced in the feds you don’t get parole. So mine was life without the possibility of parole so that was one of the darkest days of my life you know I experienced one of the lowest times that I ever did you know my mom broke down in court and I knew that I was the one that did it to her from the things that I did.

Patrick Bastien Photography

Nevora: I am really in support of the fact that you are on this road of redemption because so many times God gives us the chance or whomever it is that your faith is instilled in gives us a chance to really turn our lives around and I cant commend you more I’m proud of you and I’m grateful to be here to speak with you today.

Freeway: Likewise anytime you know we get together it’s always a good thing.

Nevora: That’s right

Freeway: Especially when positive

Nevora: Exactly! That’s whats it’ s all about it’s positivity with and for the youth.

Freeway: and it’s necessary you know if we keep going down the road we’re going down our country is going to be ruined; you know (uh) its terrible right now the economy is terrible businesses are suffering and you know we have to make a change we can’t keep going down the same path, where our politicians are sucking all the money out of the community.

Nevora: I know that I was reading a blog and in it; it basically said that part of the CIA was a part of this whole ship I’m sorry to bring it back toward that time but have they connected with you at all because I know you said that although the things you’ve done it was other people working for you to get them done; but you are a mastermind you were at some point so and  still are , still are.

Freeway: I think I still am; I think I’m smarter now then I was then you know back then I had never read a book and I’ve read over 300 books so I am much smarter then I was then.

Nevora: Right so have they reached out to try and see if maybe you can work with them or within their infrastructure

Freeway: When you  say them who are you…

Nevora: The CIA

Freeway: No they haven’t

Nevora: I know that’s like top secret information (Lol) I just had to ask I had to ask

Freeway: I don’t think that these people have our best interest at heart you know (huh) I don’t think that they ever intended on me getting out of prison (huh) I don’t think that they intended on me getting out the drug business so,  you know they haven’t reached out they didn’t really reach out to me then they didn’t come and tell me that they was CIA or if they was working with the government. That wasn’t revealed to me until I went to court. Its even so bad that all the things I’ve been doing take a newspaper like the LA Times when I was going to trial and everything I was on the front page of the newspaper…everyday since I been home and going around doing all the things that I’ve been trying to do they haven’t written about it one time they didn’t even write that I got out of prison so you know its its and they are owned by the (uh uh) by the government you know most of the big newspapers are controlled by our government so when you look at that it tells me that they don’t want to see us do well they don’t want us to come back and redeem ourselves comeback and help our community.

Nevora: and your story is so much bigger it’s definitely not one that should be under the surface it should be publicized because…

Freeway: Oh yeah its not gonna be its not going to be under the surface I’m not going to let you see I’m not putting my faith in their hands I’m going to take this and do it the way that I know it has to be done and make the steps that will get me there. You know I’ll just keep going with our little papers our little (huh) TV shows because if we don’t take the little ones so  so often we want to start so big we’re waiting to get big instead of just taking the little bity steps so what I’m doing right now I am taking the little bity steps you know I’m working with whoever will work with me.

Audio Invasion V1 Second Single “I Get It” by D.H. DaHitwryter

Check out this latest Artist “D.H. DaHitwryter” from Baltimore, releasing “I Get It” The second single dropping off the Audio Invasion Volume 1 Mixtape produced by The Beat Depot

D.H. – I Get It by MISI Entertainment

Interview

MISI: It’s a pleasure to have you on our website.

Tell us a little about “D.H. DaHitwryter” and how you came up with the name?

D.H.: Thanks for having me! D.H. is definitely something simple, my initials! But I wanted to separate my stage name from my songwriting name so I came up with DaHitwyrter for my writing name! I have to be different in all that I do

MISI: As a Lesbian Emcee, what kind of edge do you have coming into the game verses other female rappers?

D.H.: Well I definitely got the LGBT community behind me, but I make music for all audiences and there are other genres I can tap into such as house music and techno! In addition to that, my flow is killer, i’m not the typical ABC, bubble gum pop or explicit female rapper

MISI: What inspired you to be an artist ? Who are your musical influences ?

D.H.: My inspirations came from Tupac Shakur and Michael Jackson…just seeing them work so hard and hearing their creative genius made me fall in love with music! Lauryn Hill is also a huge influence, she’s the ultimate female artist to me!

MISI: What can your fans expect from you in the near future for 2011 ?

D.H.: 2010 I did a lot of unexpected things, this year I expect to release a few music videos, build a bigger buzz, get some features with veteran artists and also increase my fan base! It only gets bigger and better now

MISI: Now that you have released a new single on the Audio Invasion Volume 1 Mix CD,   tell me a little about “I Get It” Produced by The Beat Depot and where your mind set was in creating it.

D.H.: My first thought was, “I gotta be just as hot or hotter than this beat” and then when I wrote the song, I was actually dealing with some health issues so I wanted to do a motivational song and I said “you know what, I may be sick right now, but I’ma still get it…” so I came up with “I Get It”

MISI: If I were to turn on your ipod right now, what 3 artists would I see in your most recently played list?

D.H.: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Lauryn Hill

MISI: What kind of  advice can you give other artists trying to pursue a music career?

D.H.: Be talented, don’t just do it because its a means of money, LOVE IT! Also, if you are truly talented, don’t let the critics deter you, listen but do you! If certain artists can sound the way they do and make hit after hit, who is anyone to tell you how you should sound? Do you

MISI: What is something you want readers to know about D.H. DaHitwryter ?

D.H.: My dream goes beyond music, I hope to be an active part of young peoples life and I hope to reach a lot of people through my music which is versatile, from party songs, to thought provoking verses and of course love songs! I also hope to be a successful entrepreneur, owning multiple companies! Music is the gateway, and I hope ya’ll enjoy my talent!

Special shout outs go to both of my families Priceless Music and MISI Entertainment and to all those supporting my music, thank you

THE BIO OF D.H. DaHitwryter

Raised in the inner city streets of Baltimore, Maryland native D.H. “DaHitwryter” was known for her tough and gritty play on the local area basketball courts. This multi-talented female, born Dionne Halsey, began an on and off affair with music at the early age of 7. Though she was heavily involved with dance, and church activities, free-styling hip-hop lyrics was something that she also loved to do for family and friends, but it was clear that her love for music came second to her dream of being a basketball player. But unfortunately injuries and other ailments caused Dionne to rekindle her love for music. In 2004 Dionne met with DJ Unreaper, CEO of an independent label called Un World Records. Shewent on to sign a contract to become an Executive, overseeing the marketing and promoting duties. She also began to emerge as a songwriter, and a recording artist. But with the lack of consistency from the long time artists of Un World, again, troubles arose so Un World Records was then transformed into Un World Entertainment with a focus on becoming a leader in marketing and media. To date, UWE is still thriving but long time friends Dionne and CEO Jamal Rose parted business tides. With UWE Dionne has established herself as an artist by being featured on several UWE mixtapes, as a journalist writing several articles for Un Worlds online website, a radio co-host making brief appearances on UWE radio/talk show and as an up and coming ambassador, attacking key social and political issues through various online campaigns. In December of 2007, D.H. partnered up with Kristin Price, CEO of PRICELESS MUSIC, as a songwriter/artist/vocal arranger/background vocalist. Projects include the recently released SUGABROWN ALBUM “GOT SUGA?” on which DaHitwryter wrote“BEYOND LOVE,” “GIVE IT UP,” AND “LOSE IT.”D.H. is also featured as a rapper on “SICK,” “LOSE IT,” AND “ALL FOR YOU.” Currently Dionne is working on her first ever solo project which is a mixtape titled “Back Against the World.” Stay tuned and be on the look-out for singles dropping from the mixtape soon.

Future Plans: Achieve my PhD. and the highest level of success

MISI: It’s a pleasure to have you on our website tell us a little about Tamara Ramone ?

TR: I’m an up and coming model who’s just starting out in this business. I’ve always wanted to model, however I didn’t want to go through life relying on my looks to pay my bills, so I educated myself before I began my modeling career.

MISI: What inspired you to be a Model ? Who are your influences ?

TR: I’m a woman who likes to defy the status quo.  I want for people to see that they have the power to re-define beauty. I see what I think is a divide. Smart girls think they don’t need to be pretty and pretty girls think they don’t need to be smart. Well their both wrong. I want for academic women to know that there’s nothing wrong with being sexy, and I want for physically attractive women to stop totally relying on their looks to get them through life.  That’s why I admire Tyra Banks so much. She’s a woman who is physically beautiful and business savvy, to me that’s the definition of BAD.

MISI: Now aside from modeling, what other talents do you possess and plan to “explore” in the near future?

TR: Well, I love acting. I was a thespian in high school and plan to pursue some roles on the big screen.

“I’m fighting the stereotypes on both sides of the aisle. Tell your readers that Tamara Ramone is intelligent, accomplished, beautiful, down to earth, and easy to talk to.”

MISI: What is the most challenging part of being a model ?

TR: People who don’t model don’t realize that modeling is hard work. They think anyone can do it, and that’s far from the truth. It’s always difficult when people don’t respect your craft.

MISI: What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?

TR: I would love to work as a spokesperson for a fragrance and makeup line, and maybe one day get behind the camera myself.  I love creating or inspiring anything beautiful. A beautiful smell makes a woman feel sensual, beautiful makeup makes a woman feel confident, and a beautiful photo… well, that’s what inspires your man to come straight home after work instead of going for that drink with friends.

MISI: How has your education prepared you for your career?

TR: I believe that education can prepare you for almost everything in life. If nothing else, it has given me the realization that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, even when the cards are stacked against me. I’m able to conduct my own business and handle my own money, wisely.  Education has also made me capable of speaking to anyone in any setting.

I’m not limited to simply being the “eye candy’ or “trophy piece” on someones arm. I’m confident, intelligent, well versed on a variety of subjects,  and capable of handling myself in any and all settings. Take me to any part of the world and throw me in the water, I guarantee you, I’ll swim.

MISI: What kind of advice can you give to someone trying to pursue a modeling career?

TR: The most solid advice I have is that the person should take the time out to really think about what sort of photos and clothing THEY are comfortable with. Draw your lines in the sand before you even arrive at the photoshoot and stick to them.  You have to realize that everyone won’t approve of everything you do, so be okay with that….just don’t do anything that YOU wouldn’t approve of.

MISI: Now I have to ask this question for the men out there: What type of man gets your attention?

TR: I’m a goofy chick who likes to talk smack, so I like a man that can make me laugh. I’m all about the jokes.

MISI: What part of your body is your most favorite and why ?

TR: My mouth. I say my mouth because I think a women’s lips are the sexiest part of her body

MISI: Five years from now, where do you see yourself ?

TR: Ultimately, I want to create a shoe line for women with big feet. (Laughing). I have really big feet and nothing upsets me more than to go shoe shopping with someone who’s complaining they can’t find anything cute because they wear a size 8 shoe.

MISI: What is something you want readers to know about Tamara Ramone ?

TR: That I’m both attractive and intelligent. I’m fighting the stereotypes on both sides of the aisle. Tell your readers that Tamara Ramone is intelligent, accomplished, beautiful, down to earth, and easy to talk to.

MISI: Lastly are there any shout-outs that you want to throw out there?

TR: I want to give a shout out to my city Houston and MISI Entertainment for this exclusive interview.

Interview

MISI: How did you come up with the name “Staccato” ?
Staccato: I took music theory in the 6th grade and staccato stood out to me. It sounded cool to me, sounded Italian or gangsta to me. It means to play a music note sharp, and choppy in music theory and the symbol is a dot over the note. A lot of musicians use staccato and don’t even know it. I recently also found out that a few years ago.Aaron Staccato is me. I wanted to give people the real me. I’m getting my grown man on, so I have to only be me.

MISI: What inspired you to be an artist ? Who are your musical influences ?
Staccato: Watching my family in the entertainment business, growing up in church, and also seeing other artists like Biggie, Naughty by Nature, Snoop & Dre, Pac, Nas, Jay Z, Master P, Bone Thugz, and Twista.

It was inspiring to see them do they thing.

MISI: What can your fans expect from you in the near future for 2011 ?
Staccato: More new singles from my Product of America mixtape series jumpoff, nothing but hot songs back to back, planning some new video shoots for the songs the fans feeling heavy. I can’t forget the Audio Invasion Volume 1 Mix CD “Really Out the door”  Make sure you download that ASAP

MISI: Now that you have released a new single on the Audio Invasion Volume 1 Mix CD,   tell me a little about “Really Out The Door” and where your mind set was in creating it.
Staccato: Really Out the Door was very different from what I have been doing lately beat wise, but it took me back to the roots of hip hop with the sound and tempo of the production; Shout out to Maverick. Lyrically I was able to go another direction rather than the average MidWest/South sound that I usually put out. I felt it would be great to show my versatility. And its on some mature grown man…. that’s what Aaron Staccato is about..some focused reality music.Yea I make club bangers, street songs, radio songs etc. but this one is one of those songs that I spent some heavy  time on I had to put my foot in that song…I know the real music heads will appreciate “Really out the door”.

MISI: If I were to turn on your ipod right now, what 3 artists would I see in your most recently played list?
Staccato: To be truly honest, Aaron Staccato because I’m studying myself so I can know how to get better, but I do rock wit Weezy,Gucci Mane,Yo Gotti,Drake,Eminem, no ipod though Lol but I’m reading the book “Decoded” by Jay-Z.

MISI: Now I have to ask this question for all the young ladies out there: What type of girl gets your attention?
Staccato: Educated, beautiful, Independent from the inside out I am single Lol

MISI: What is something you want readers to know about Aaron Staccato ?

Staccato: I’m about to receive my first degree from college very soon. It’s been a long ride but we shall overcome!!! “Really Out the door”  go get that !!! Holla..I thank God for keeping us strong!!!!
