MISI Entertainment catches up with Yung Joc in a Exclusive Interview, from Yung Joc having his own record label to his upcoming album. Yung Joc gets up close and personal with our guest host Dahiana Torres

MISI: Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening listeners this is Dahiana Torres with MIS Entertainment on an Exclusive Interview with the talented Yung Joc; Yung Joc how you doing today?

Yung Joc: I’m good baby how you?

MISI: I’m doing good I’m doing good Thank You for taking the time to interview with us its definitely a pleasure to have you hear. Now you have a song called

MISI: (Oh) you welcome you welcome you have a song called “Yeah Boy” which is a hot track what was your mind set when you was creating that song?

Yung Joc: (uh) it was just it was you know what man to be honest with you this is one of them records where I just wanted something a little bit you know what I’m saying outside of just trying to make a club song or its more of a record you can just grind to and just feel what the hell I’m talking about and whats on my mind.

MISI: OK all right now lets talk about your song “Know What She Likes” featuring Yo Gotti which is featured on the Audio Invasion Mixtape the track is without a doubt a banger. How did you decide to do a feature with Yo Gotti and come up with this whole concept?

Yung Joc: Well it’s a crazy story behind that (uh) I actually (um) did the record and (uh) it was just dude played me the beat Don Vito its called Diesel digitally and he played the track for me and he went passed it and I said go back to it I was listening to it I was like you know what that right there sound hypnotic it sound like it would put you in a trip dance for a minute. So I said you know a record like that is usually good with women, you know what I’m saying good for women. So I was like I should make it I said I should make it a R&B record then Don was like nah man this too hard  it sound like some it sound like a hood track and I was like yeah its gonna be a hood track for the females though. I went in the booth and just started just off the top of my head came up with the hook and (uh) I did the first verse to it and once I did the first verse I was like you know what I’m a put Gucci on it so I had went and got Gucci to do it but Gucci the way he snapped on it sounded the verse he did for the other record I have called going ham so I ended up taking the record and giving it to Yo Gotti asking him to get on it which he did and I took Gucci record and put it on the go ham record so now I got two records that I like you know what I mean there it is.

MISI: Definitely congratulations (um) to that song and you already have shown the game your versatility with the first three albums New Joc City, Hustlenomics, Grind Flu what can we expect from you on your upcoming album Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood?

Yung Joc: (uh) lets just say I grew up some man real talk I grew up some I lived cause I’ve learned a little more you know what I mean and just as an artist I feel like I’ve grown so when you hear some of the music it will make you feel good some of the music will make you feel that same thing I was feeling when I wrote it. (uh) you know the inspirational records you know you’ll definitely be inspired you know I feel like its gonna be songs on there for (uh) quite a few I can’t say for everybody. I just; That’s kind of where I went wrong at trying to please everybody and I said you know what  I’m not gonna try to please nobody I’m just gonna do me feel good whatever come from my heart and so that’s what I just started doing I feel like its gonna work for me.

MISI: Right and with that said I can see that you have grown not only as an artist but as an entrepreneur with a new label under your belt Swagg Team Entertainment how did all that get started what do you look for in an artist?

Yung Joc: I’m going to be honest with you (uh) I just look for anybody who’s a natural at what they do you know what I mean a natural at what they do that’s basically what you know what I’m saying that’s all its about being able to convey how you feel emotionally through your music you know what I mean and if you can do it naturally then more people can relate and accept it for what it is you know.

MISI: Yes yes definitely so what are some of the challenges you have encountered on your journey to success? How have yo been able to overcome some of those obstacles?

Yung Joc: I mean you know that was one of the reasons Swagg Team Entertainment came about (uh) cause I felt like there was some things that I was (uh) jigged into that I felt like were good and there was times where I felt like were (uh) not necessary but I cant say that because the good and the bad both together that’s how you learn you know what I’m saying experience gone be the best teacher with anything so I decided you know I want to put it to the test cause you know we always think we have the best other solution for some of the things that we go through in life you know what I mean ad you don’t really know it until you actually put yourself to the test and I’m a firm believer in growing ones self worth with your own brand thats what made me start Swagg Team Entertainment there it is.

MISI: I’m sure that means a lot to the viewers (uh) what inspired you to become an artist? So who are your musical influences?

Yung Joc: I’ve always like to entertain I’m on some silly stuff and I feel like just making a room full of people laugh I do it so naturally it’s second nature you know what I mean.

MISI: uh hmm now what artist

Yung Joc: When it’s

MISI: Go head go head no go head

Yung Joc: I was just gonna say that when like (uh) whenever I’m doing music I try to figure out the best way to relate to people sometimes you know what I’m saying sometimes it work sometimes it don’t you know what I mean.

MISI: Uh Hmm so as an artist who would you like to work with in the future that you have worked with previously of course? You have any artist particularly in mind that you haven’t worked with?

Yung Joc: (uh) like I said Drake I would like to do something with (uh) Usher definitely

MISI: Oh yeah

Yung Joc: I would like to do something with Usher (uh) and Mary J. Blige.

MISI: All very very great artist I hope they can definitely work with you one day (uh) it would definitely be an honor to hear you guys on a track. Now if I were to turn on your Ipod right now what three artist would I see in your most recently played list, is it one of the ones you just mentioned ?

Yung Joc: (uh) you definitely gonna find some Mary you’ll find some Mary because sometimes I have to step away from just rap and I have to listen to something that can give me the same feeling and passion without it just being rap you know what I’m saying you gonna find some Mary; you gonna find some Ross you might find some (uh) old school Outkast, Hit em’ up you might find Lol you might find some old school Snoop you know what I mean. I mean don’t get me wrong when I mean old school it’s just certain classic records that I love by these artist that I’m naming you know what I mean. You definitely gonna find the Swagg Team enough from To Green, DoeShun, and Jon Boi you know what I’m saying it is what it is man like you know for me you might find anything sometime like when I’m riding I don’t even listen to music in the car sometimes cause I’m always trying to you know like when I get in the car thats the only time I really have to think to myself everything else I’m around music if I ain’t in front of a camera I’m on a stage, if I ain’t on a stage I’m in a studio in front of a mic so you know what I mean I don’t even get the chance to listen to music outside of lord music.

MISI: Definitely ok so you listen to Mary a lot so with that said now its time to ask this question for the ladies out there what type of female catches your eye Yung Joc?

Yung Joc: (um) You know I like an intelligent women I like women who are compassionate about life I like women who know how to take care of a man you know what I’m saying when I say take care of a man I don’t mean in a chauvinistic way like you know just cut and clean I just you know a women who understands how important and understand how freedom even in a relationship means you know what I’m saying Like I’m the type of dude if a women gotta try to go through my phone and stuff like that and be on your Facebook page and all that trying to find out about a women I aint with that cause you see she just not confident enough for me I  want a women thats knows thats what make a man come home when his women know everything good and she treat it like that even if it aint she gottta make you feel that way because as a man we gotta do it you know what I’m saying if we live together right and I’m the man and I gotta take care the bills I cant let you  worry can I?

MISI: ooh ok

Yung Joc: As a man I should make yo  feel secure in our situation that everything gonna be all right and as a women she has to do the same thing so you know  I don’t like a timid women and I don’t like a women that doesn’t fully know how to express her self that will sum it up for you.

MISI: Well you heard that ladies you know you  gotta be confident for Yung Joc and you gotta know what you want so if you weren’t in the music industry rapping what other field you would most likely be pursuing?

Yung Joc: (uh) I probable been an attorney

MISI: Where?

Yung Joc: An attorney

MISI: an Attorney ok, So what do you think (uh) the biggest difference between rappers trying to make it in the industry versus rappers trying to make it today?

Yung Joc: (uh) I think today is (uh) I think today it’s a lot easier to make it to be honest with you.

MISI: and why do you say that?

Yung Joc: Because you have more outlets to be seen now its not just about (uh) if you got a hit record it’s about you know being relative I mean lets be straight up. 50 Tyson aint, 50 Tyson is not jamming lets keep it one hundred but he successful in my book see what I’m saying he successful in my book I’m saying I mean I couldn’t listen to some of his music I love his ambition, I love the fact he is able to do what he does you know what I’m saying thats inspiring like hell to me, but am I gonna listen to it after I listen to it one time and see what he talking about pop it back in and jam it I don’t know I haven’t listen to enough of his music to feel like I’m  but he’s relevant to the point that he’s remained good in a viral sense but he’s you know he’s on your mind that’s successful to me if he came from nothing and he going out and he aint getting but two thousand dollars three thousand dollars a show hey thats great how many people you know just gonna get three four thousand dollars for people to gather around and hear what they got to say you feel me?

MISI: Exactly yup yeah so

Yung Joc: So many of the media is at your disposal, so many of the media is at your disposal right now  because the internet I mean come on man

MISI: Yes I mean with Twitter, with Myspace, with Facebook I’m sorry Myspace is kind of a dead end right now but theres so many different networks

Yung Joc: You know what not really not really I know what not really man this is whats real about it not really you’ll be surprised man some people will still resort back to your Myspace for information on you you’ll be surprised man cause when I’m out the country you know I tour out the country a lot I mean like a lot and people always ask me first whats your Myspace page then they be like whats your Twitter and your Facebook I mean its still its still a tool you kno what I’m saying and a lot of people did invest in jobs in setting them up and you know it may be easier to other fans on Twitter and Facebook but I mean I don’t think you know I aint I’m not gonna ask you right off rim whats your Myspace but if I’m trying to find out some info on you I’ll go back and look for your Myspace and see whats going on out there  see how many fans you had you know what I’m saying see what kind of stuff you was doing what you keep posting up lately recently or not I would still just go back and see

MISI: and your right because a lot of artist have been discovered on Myspace and I mean especially YouTube thats one of the biggest tools out there right now (um) so lastly I guess my question to you is are there any shout outs you wanna throw out there from MISI Entertainment right now

Yung Joc: Besides who

MISI: I know I mean are there any shout outs you want to throw out there

Yung Joc: (uh) I mean man big shout out to everybody out there trying to do it man big shout outs to my loyal fans big shout outs to the people who was my fans and aint quite sure I’m popping no more big shout outs to the haters to man because I need them you know what I’m saying the more ya’ll hate the more the ones that love me love me you dig and you know big shout outs to all the upcoming artist thats out there trying to do what they doing I’ll tell you straight up put your best foot forward man put God first man let him work your plan and everything else is irrelevant there it is.
